The SKF dial indicators are used in conjunction with the SKF Drive-up Method, to measure the axial travel of the piston in an hydraulic nut E-design. This travel distance is also known as the drive-up distance and important for correct mounting bearings and maximising their life.

Accurately measure the drive-up distance during the drive-up process
Ensure proper fitting in the outside ring of the hydraulic nut.
